Hooray! Hooray!
I am starting off a new year with a published story! It’s called “Joy of Heart” and it’s on page 20. This time of year, I start longing for the warmer weather and the return of feathered friends and this story is about what we can learn from one of them.
My photo is even in the back of the book!
Small Words
“More small words for big thoughts” is the tagline for this fun book. Every story in it is written with one syllable words. It was a bit of a challenge (the Scribettes, my writers group, can attest to that. They found a bunch of bigger words, and I thought I’d already found them all), but a story did emerge. But you’ll have to find a copy of the book to find out what I wrote!
Susan Cheeves King compiled this book. On the back, she writes that each story is about something that matters deeply to the writer. “If you’ve always thought you had to use long words to keep your reader engaged, discover why it’s often a great idea to keep it Short and Sweet.”
This book is published by Grace Publishing and is available on Amazon.
