The Wild Rose Ridge Area

A fictional resort community that surrounds a rose shaped lake with vineyards, orchards, and a monster legend. Inspired by the Chelan area in Washington State, this fictional town has a history with a pioneer friendship that later generations have turned into a feud and a wild rose story to go with it.

The Wild Rose Days Festival officially opens every Spring when the first wild rose opens it’s petals to the sun.

The mayor is the youngest mayor the town has ever seen, and his Mama and her friends think they know best when it comes to advice.

Walcott Orchards and Rose Cliff Gardens

If you drive around Wild Rose Lake, you come to the North Cliffs. On the west side of the cliffs, an overlook, next to the mouth of the North Thorn River will give you a wonderful view of the lake and the town of Wild Rose Ridge, far to the south. If you cross the bridge, you will drive by the Rose Cliff Gardens nursery and the Walcott Orchards.

A little further south is the Wild Rose Guest Ranch. That is a place you would love to stay and spend a few days.

Wild Rose Ridge Story World

Six authors dreamed up this pretend town and lake. We did the tourist thing at Lake Chelan in Washington State and drifted through town. We shopped, admired scenery, did wine tasting, had a fabulous dinner at one of the wineries and let our imaginations run.

The result:

Each of us writes our own books.

Our stories weave in and out and our characters interact in all of our books.

We, as authors, must do the same. New twists, turns and plotlines keep us in close communication. (After all, we can’t leave a character in limbo—or at the mercy of the Meddling Mothers!)
