Ancient Paradigm
In the trek around the old Jerusalem footprint, we come to the Old Gate close to the ball of the foot. Just think of the feet that have come and gone through this gate over the centuries. Many in anguish. This gate causes us to consider our “old man.” How we struggle to put the deeds of the flesh to death. It must happen through soul searching and continuing repentance. The depths of the soul are mystical and other worldly.
Mystical Soul
Imagine entering an ancient gate and allowing the hush to reach out and surround your senses. To quiet the clamoring of your soul—even cleansing it from the fractious anxieties of this era. Listen to the voices from the early ages reach out to bathe your mind in quietness so that the Holy Spirit can whisper to your heart.
Take your courage in hand and step through the Old Gate of your life, believing that God will be there. That He will delight in you as you commit your way to Him. He will secure your life for you. He is forever faithful.
Timeless Hope
Jesus has a heritage for you. You are made in His Image. What was taken away, He has restored. He calls you to walk with Him, to accept His grace, peace and companionship. His longing is for you.
Walk through the Old Gate with Jesus, your Refuge and Fortress. He is your Timeless Hope.
For Consideration
Having entered this Gate, what have you learned from the Ancient Scriptures? Is there rest for your soul? How can you commit your way to Jesus?
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand” Psalm 37:23,24.

Behind in my reading, but this is timeless truth no matter how many weeks late ♥ Bless you, my friend.

Love your comment, my friend. Yep, life takes courage for sure, but He goes with us. How reassuring!

“Take your courage in hand and step through the Old Gate of your life, believing that God will be there.” And the words “fractious” as set against “timeless hope.”
Exactly what I needed to read this morning. Thank you, Linda Jo. This post stirs my faith as well as inner intentions.
