Have you ever asked the question, “I’ve prayed about this, but I don’t see any answer from God! Where is it?” I know I’ve asked it. The Bible says He always hears and He always answers. But here I am, still waiting.
Maybe that IS the answer: wait. There is the possibility that I have seen an answer and it might be: “no”. I don’t want that kind of answer. I want my world to work the way I think it should. But what if I interpret an answer to be “yes” because I determine that’s what it should be, and I find it messes up my life even more? Ouch.
Maybe God’s answers are always the right ones. Maybe wait is the best means to the end. The book of Daniel in the Bible tells us how Daniel prayed; the angel with the answer was dispatched immediately; yet met with a dark angel opponent that kept him in a sword fighting battle for 21 days before he could deliver Daniel’s answer to him. What agonies did Daniel and perhaps others suffer in that 21 days? Yet the answer was sent upon request.
How long has your “21 days” been? Be encouraged, no matter how long it takes, the right answer has been sent. It could be that the battle for your request is intense. To bring a family member to Jesus? For healing? For a decision that affects the lives of others? Whatever it is, God is involved in your answer, and your wait will not be too late. He will see to it.
“Do not fear, Daniel, for the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” Daniel 10:12.
