The Perfect Snow Day
I rode a ski lift that was not enclosed by a gondola. My feet swung free. I didn’t fall off. I didn’t drop my phone. And I didn’t freeze to death.
The bright sun shone in an azure sky on the pristine snow. Ski runs were groomed perfectly and snow blankets made trees look like ghostly figures standing guard for wayward skiers.
My son, Jeff, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day. He skied. I took photos. We ate lunch on the mountain top.
Beauty and Worship
One can not see the majestic views, either close up or far away, without knowing in your soul that God created this grandeur.
Even when winter is not your favorite season, the beauty is undeniable.
I think beauty and worship go hand in hand.
God created from His own hand the magnificence that lay before us. It requires response.
God Lives on the Mountain
We stand in awe in His presence on the mountain top.
We are amazed at His triumphs.
We pause to wonder at the splendor of His handiwork.
We worship Him with the world at our feet.
Perhaps we can even imagine the world truly being at His feet.
“Praise the Lord from the heavens, Praise Him in the heights!” (Psalm 148:1 NKJV).
“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His Name together (Psalm 34:3 NKJV).
