We live in a harsh world, that’s for sure. With people dying in droughts, as they are in Africa right now, in wars–you name where–and many other desperate needs; lots of times we don’t know how we can help. There are many, but Partners International is one place where I can connect–so I share it with you.
The mission of Partners International is to Serve God’s Servants in the Hard Places. Partners comes alongside people in their own countries and helps them do what God calls them to do. The needs are constant and vary from country to country.
Here is a way you can help right now if you feel called:
• Mchungaji Kundi Moja, Horn of Africa: Somalia and eastern Ethiopia and Kenya have been facing the worst drought in over 60 years. Our partner there is struggling with limited financial resources to respond. Over the next 6 months the goal is to help over 2000 families with basic food relief and then to help long-term with wells and more reliable water sources for their families and livestock. The most pressing need right now is to help 500 families with food. For $39.30 you can help feed one family for one month with maize, rice, beans and cooking oil. You can read about the Horn of Africa in the “Where We Work” section of the website below. If you wish to join this global battle, on the “Donate Now” page, choose “other” in the drop down and put in: KESM41500.
