In Between Again
Here we are in the in between seasons again. Snow one day and sunshine the next. I must admit, winter seems harder each year. It must be the passing of life’s seasons since the snow and ice haven’t stuck around in the last couple years as it has in past years. Like when the roofs of several businesses collapsed a few years ago under the weight of winter’s covering.
As I look out the window today, the intermittent sun reminds me that spring really is around the corner. People are out walking and animals are scurrying around. Signs of God-given life.
Rose Glory Coming
Every time I am outdoors, I make a tour of my roses. Did they all make it? So far, it looks like maybe they will be around for another colorful summer. That makes me happy. I love my roses. I think I will get one or two more this season.
Fresh Spring
I am grateful every year to come out of the darkness and into God’s marvelous light. He swishes aside the residue in our souls. And gladness becomes the order of the day.
Our God loves us. He loves seeing the new life that unfurls in us every time the seasons change in our lives. Growth happens. Even from darkness. Maybe especially from darkness.
But at the end of the darkness, His fresh spring chases away the dullness.
I, for one, am so very glad that He brings light after every dark season.
