I am thankful for the beauty that showcases our God’s creativity. On my way out of town for Thanksgiving, I was treated to a beautiful art gallery of frost.
I was in awe of the different shades of whites, grays, and all the shadows.
Recent events have been draw downs on my spirit. Talking about shadows: not only is the tragedy in the Philippines uppermost, but the torture and killings of people around the world – especially that of a 7 year old boy recently – makes me sag in sorrow.
How can this be?
Governments that betray their people, marriages that fall apart from the betrayal of adultery or other, businesses where partners cheat on each other and bring about destruction.
Again, how can this be?
The world was not made for this. Not the shadows. The world was made for the bursts of color that are vibrant relationships. The kind that are giving, loving, caring, generous: the kind that want what’s best for each other.
But that is not how it is. We live in the shadows. Where it is dangerous, frightening, people killing and betraying other people.
Is this not why Jesus came to this world? To redeem us from the shadows. To give us the opportunity to live in the vibrance of color with Him in Heaven.
Let’s be thankful that Jesus made a way for us out of the shadows.
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself” Phil 3:20,21.

Thank you so much, Katie. You are very kind.
Am reading you book right now, and very much enjoying it. Will certainly write you a review when finished! God Bless and thanks for the book (I was the B&N winner).
