Cough…snort…blow…what a way to spend a week! In between the aforementioned, I napped. A trip to the store was required as I ran out of Kleenex and TP. Can anyone relate? I missed New Year’s Eve! That hurt. Then I got to usher in the New Year with Kleenex. I hope it’s not indicative of what’s coming this year.
During the worst day, however, I experienced a sweet moment. I just set aside my Bible after doing morning devotions and leaned my muddled head back into the chair. Suddenly I had the feeling that my Jesus was standing behind my chair and rubbing my aching head. Then, just as I used to do with my children when they were small, He leaned over to kiss the top of my head. I still didn’t feel good, but I knew everything would be all right.
“I Need Thee Every Hour”—this timeless hymn is so true. I was alone, yet not alone. My Savior was with me. Isn’t He good to care for us in our times of need?
