A Taste of Spring
For those who have forgotten what the ground looks like, I have posted this lovely photo of snowless ground, a decorative quail family with a few flowers. I’d like to see this again, someday. Enjoy.
Think of your own Spring, cultivated in your heart by our ever faithful God, even as snow continues to fall outside the window.
A Good Start
Act of obedience made the difference in my day the last time I was able to get out and about. After adjusting my finances on payday, I headed off to do errands. Errands are, well, bland, right? In spite of the Winter cold, the sun was shining, making it a beautiful day. I held my face up to its warmth and felt the hands of my heavenly Father on my cheeks.
A good start to the day.
A Choice; A Debate
As I went from place to place, an impression fell upon my spirit. Something Father God was asking me to do. I said yes.
And then, as I moved along, I began to debate with myself. How could I do this? And what would be left undone in my own life if I did this?
I heard, “Won’t you trust Me to cover whatever you think you will lack?”
Oh my goodness. Such a struggle. Even up to the very last second, I debated. What am I going to do?
A Choice; An Act
I did what He asked me to do. I had a choice. And I nearly chose NOT to do it. But, I did do it.
If you say yes to God, be prepared to follow through. It’s an act of obedience. God prizes our obedience very highly.
That day, being obedient made the difference between bondage and freedom. In my spirit, I felt like that little girl we can all see in our minds who is twirling around and giggling for the sheer joy of it. I’m sure my Heavenly Daddy was laughing, too.
The rest of the day was free because I had chosen to do as God asked me to do. Yay!
“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;” Isaiah 1:19.
