Every Window Filled With Light by Shelia Stovall, is a delightful debut novel set in the fictional town of Weldon.
Emma is the town librarian, and she loves her job. But she doesn’t love being a widow. She misses her husband and seems stuck in her grief.
But that’s not like Emma. She is a people person and when she finds Harley, a homeless teen, sleeping in the library, Emma takes her in. And that is just the beginning. Soon Becky and her baby move in after their home burns. Emma’s friends come alongside to help, what would she do without them?
Emma’s mother, Virginia, is the town mayor and concerned about appearances. It looks like she disapproves of Emma filling her large house with people and dogs, but Virginia’s help just seems to happen.
Then there is the handsome Pastor Luke, but how can Emma connect with him when that feels disloyal to her dead husband? Especially when Luke works with troubled teens, one of whom Emma blames for her husband’s death.
Lots of twists and turns make this a wonderful read. Grab your cup and blankey, and plan to sit a spell by the fireplace!

I loved the book, A Light in the Window. I haven’t read her second book, but hope to soon. Thanks for sharing.
Whoops! I put in the wrong title! I meant Every Window Filled With Light.
You are welcome, Ruth. I really enjoyed the book, too, and look forward to reading her next one!
