Do you ever have those times when you are so overwhelmed that you just can’t pray? Your emotions swirl, your thoughts get jumbled, and you can’t sit still because your body is in spring forward mode—right?
Isn’t it good to know that there are times and seasons while we live on earth? Yes, this, too, shall pass. I just wish it would pass a lot sooner.
Lean
I think this is why God made us for community. When someone is in a tough spot, we always want to help. But—what if it is US? What if we feel paralyzed by the situation we find ourselves in? What do we do besides pace or stare at the wall?
Ok, here’s the answer: lean on your community! Let those loved ones help you. In prayer or practical ways. Even as you know they are praying, it gives you a feeling of undergirding. If you can’t pray, can’t act, someone will come alongside and do it for you.
It’s ok to lean. That’s the Holy Spirit’s job—to come alongside, after all. He does it in your soul, of course, but most often, He inspires someone to come and help. So—lean.
Remember
Just who is in charge, anyway? When a situation or person goes haywire on you, who really is in charge?
Nothing comes to us unless it passes through the Hand of God first. We might wonder how in the world a seriously awful situation can be for our good. But God knows. He is, after all, building masterpieces in us, isn’t He?
So remember that He uses all things to bring about His purposes in us. And it is good. Or it will be good!
Believe
The trick is to believe that God really DOES have our good at heart. All the time that something is passing through His Hand, He is holding us close in His palm. It’s dark, but ultimately safe. He will provide all that is needed for body/soul/spirit nourishment. Hang loose in there and wait for it.
He promises never to leave or forsake us. No matter what!
Power
When the enemy presses, don’t forget that you are an overcomer through the Blood of the Lamb. Our Savior, Jesus. When you are hated, Jesus was hated first. And He rose from the dead TRIUMPHANT! And He means for us to be TRIUMPHANT as well. There is POWER IN HIS BLOOD and it is meant to cover us!
Battle
When the battle commences, make sure that helmet is on tight. The one that says God gives us power, love and SOUND MIND! Then stick that shield in front of you to stop those ugly thoughts from going into your soul and wield the sword of the Spirit instead. You know, use God’s Words, and not the negative ones that fly around you like flaming arrows.
Keep the faith! Keep His Word in your mind and in your mouth! Do NOT be afraid! There are angels around us waiting for the command to defend. Let the enemy be vanquished!

Oh Linda, this is so powerful! Another good reason you have to endure. ..to bring hope and victory to others! Thank you and God bless you!
Thank you, dear friend. I do hope it helps others.
