SPOILER!
It’s a secret garden!
I went on the Garden Tour with a couple of buddies, Marilyn and Patty, last week. We had a blast even though it rained. We didn’t melt and flowers, veggies and other foliage loves the moisture so a little rain (or even a lot of it at one point) didn’t stop us from enjoying.
Every year I wish I had the where withal to do this myself. The gardens at each home were spectacular, of course. We saw rock gardens, raised bed vegetable gardens, raspberry patches, arbors with statuary around them, and at the last house, we learned this garden (in the photo) is the owner’s secret garden.
I suppose, after several hundred of us traipsed through, it’s not so secret anymore. But what would it be like to have such a bower of beauty around you as you sat to enjoy a glass of iced tea and goodies while reading a good book or journaling?
It would be easy to appreciate what God planned for us to enjoy in the beginning.
So take some time to go sit in your yard and feel the soft breeze touch you as it floats by and feel the warmth of the sun on your toes. Listen to the birdsong and watch the clouds drift. God is with you in the secret garden of your heart.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore” Psalm 16:11.

Linda Jo, what a lovely post. The picture speaks volumes of Elohim’s artwork! I had to look up the word “bower” – a pleasant shady place. I love that Christ’s path of life is filled with His joy and pleasures in the bowers of His presence. Shalom!
I certainly agree, Lynn. When I saw this garden, I thought this would be a wonderful place to spend time with God. His creation is so beautiful and He loves it when we love Him through it. Shalom to you, as well.
