Ok, it’s been a while since I have talked about my kitties—or any kitties for that matter.
I heard chat on the radio some time back about cats. Discussion centered around the usual thing. Cats ignore you. Cats do their own thing. Cats are independent. Cats are annoying. Cats only want anything to do with you when they want their food. Cats are always snoozing. And so on.
I must admit that I take exception to that generalization every time I hear it. I must champion the poor cats!
Sissy and Bubba, my cats, do NOT ignore me. In fact, they are more annoying because they want ALL my attention.
“Rrowl…Shake a feather in my face so I can bat at it.”
“Toss the ball so I can chase it.”
“Where’s the stick with the toy on the end? I feel like doing a bunch of jumping.”
“Meow…Move your chair away from the computer so I can jump on your lap.”
“You are leaving AGAIN? Do you see this sad face? When are you coming back? I’ll sit here by the door so you really feel bad as you close it.”
“Yeowww…I’m so glad you’ve come home. Let me bump your face as you walk in the door!”
Need I say more? These cats must not be typical. I am their pet.
