Summer News
July has just begun, but summer has been hopping.
I got to visit my son, Jeff, and grandson, Steven. We did some adventuring. First, we boated around Yale Lake with Mt. St. Helens standing watch (see it in the background?). No swimming in those glacial waters. BRRRR.
The water was calm, a slight breeze cooled us from the sun. Being on the water is a special treat.
Jeff and Steven at Panther Creek Falls
The next day we drove to Panther Creek Falls in the forest just north of the Columbia River in Washington State.
We hiked to the bottom of the falls which cascade down the cliff like fingers on a hand. The trail was steep and narrow and I was very proud of myself for making it down and back up without having a heart attack!
Beautiful place that refreshes the spirit.
Family News
When I got home, the family that could be available dove into painting my Mom’s condo. It was blah white, but now it’s been transformed due to the special talents of my daughter, Angie, our designated Boss Painter.
We pulled stuff off walls, taped and taped, cut in and rollered paint.
She chose a burgundy color for the accent wall and a much lighter color (but not white) for the other walls. Her red couch and other red accents work perfectly.
Mom is happy and so are we.
Sister Laura and me taking a break.
Wild Rose Ridge News
We sure hope you enjoyed visiting Wild Rose Ridge this past Spring. We loved bringing it to life.
Currently, Wild Rose Ridge authors are working on a Christmas series. All your favorite characters will still be doing stuff and new ones will be showing us their stories.
We put a lake map in front of the Spring Series 2023, and we will put a town map in front of the Christmas Series 2023 books. You’ll have a much better idea how the town is laid out now that you are familiar with the lake and its surroundings.
The Christmas books will be available starting in October 2023 on Amazon. Watch for them. We will, of course, plaster it all over social media so you can’t miss them!
A New Project
Well, ok. I’ve been wrapped up in Wild Rose Ridge lately, so other things have been on hold. You know how that goes, right?
But I am working on a new devotional book that I hope to have ready soon. It’s about having a fixed heart and standing firm in your faith.
I have notes, but I’m not sure yet what kind of format to do. I’m kicking around doing it as monthly, or daily, or just topics. If you have any ideas about that, let me know.
I’d love to hear from you.
