God has purpose for our lives.
How many of us really believe that God is for us?
I wonder.
Recently, I saw a great list in the Scriptures:
- We pray for one another
- God counts us worthy of His calling
- He fulfills every good purpose in us
- He acts on every prayer request we send Him
- The Name of Jesus is glorified in us
- He is glorified because we live in Him
- He gives us grace for our everyday lives
Wow
How good is it to know that we are being prayed for? Have you ever wondered about that? We might figure our close friends and a few family members are doing so. But, what if it is going much farther than that? Maybe someone across the country, or across the world is praying for us! Are we doing that kind of prayer?
It makes a difference.
After all, God acts on every prayer request. Imagine how He must listen to us! I think of Him sitting on his colorful throne (Scripture says there is a rainbow of color around His throne), with all the lightnings, thunderings and voices going on. I wonder if those very voices are OURS lifted up in prayer? Think of it!
God has a calling for us! And that calling fulfills a purpose for which He made us. How are your talents and desires lining up? As you use those talents and desires for His purposes, His Name is glorified. It’s sort of like the crickets singing at night. They are doing the thing that God made them to do. It’s beautiful. It glorifies Him. And that’s us.
The “Purpose Filled Life” is for real
It seems to me that God is pretty invested in us. He has a purpose for each of us and He has a plan to bring about that purpose in our lives.
It might be up to us to cooperate. Do you see the path of invitation?
How much would our lives change if we laid ourselves before Him every day to ask Him to fill us with His purpose and with whatever power, courage, grace we may need to act as He directs.
That “purpose filled life.” It’s for real.
“We pray this so that the Name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” II Thessalonians 1:12.

Well said. 🙂
