Last week I said that it takes courage to stand in scary times. It’s a risk. But when we accept that risk and believe that God will cover and see us through to a wise resolution, we reflect His character.
Phew! I wonder why it is that when we determine to step out in faith and do those things in front of us, immediately a rush of opposition comes at us? Intimidation then steps in and we become a sniveling mass of jelly. Where oh where is our courage then?
Yes, yes, I know the answer is that because we are being faithful, or trying to be, the devil connives to stop the good moves and spoil it all so he can claim the victory. He likes the thumb screw method.
I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sick of it. I want to show the devil the bottom of my boot!
So once again, it’s to the woodshed for more discipline. Go back to the Word of God, the Bible, and seek the way ye should go and then go. However will we learn to stand firm with courage unless we DO accept the risk and go through “IT” instead of trying to find the way around “IT”?
Once the preparation is done, and we go towards the “IT” we are facing, then we trust God to cover the risk and bring about that wise resolution.
Only then can we reflect His character.
What are you waiting for? Go do it!
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand…” Ephesians 6:13, and continue to Ephesians 6:18. Be watchful; persevere, and pray always for others.
