I see the flag waving outside my window and then I look up the street to see a parade of U.S. flags flying. It makes me proud.
This is the day we remember those who have made freedom possible for us. It is a special charge that I’m sure weighs heavily on those called upon to defend us.
It is our charge to honor and thank them.
God bless our heroes in uniform.
It is also Graduation season. We honor our loved ones who have run the course, finished the race and now look to what the future may hold.
My eldest grandson, Brandon, walked the stage to receive his diploma last weekend. I’m very proud of him.
It doesn’t escape my notice that Memorial Day is plunked right down in the middle of graduation season. The fruit from sacrifice of the soldier is the life and future of our nation.
