Uncharted Territory
We are coming to the realization that life will never be what it was in our country. Who we once were, is not who we are now. And we wonder who we are becoming. And what is coming at us.
It seems our laws get changed according to our passions without regard for the consequences they may bring about. It’s a scary thought. One may wonder if common sense no longer has a place in our midst. Every man (or woman) does what is right in the sight of his/her own eyes, no matter who else it may affect for good or ill. I think, without a standard to measure by, how can it be otherwise?
Perhaps one can be forgiven for wondering what the reckoning will be? Change and incivility—weren’t we taught by our Mamas that if we don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all??—is certainly all over and around us.
Vote
For those of us who hold to the Biblical Standard, in a world that seems so out of control, it is a good time to remember that God is still on the throne. Regardless of how we vote in any given election, His plan will come to pass. It may be uncomfortable or even frankly frightening, but His plan will happen. Our part to play is to vote, and then act like thoughtful, kind and civil citizens.
The Hope
The hope is that Eternity is out in front and we will see our faithful God forever.
Even through the inequalities, tragedies, etc. our faithful God IS still the Answer!
He will see us through no matter what.
