Sonshine
While out walking with my friends the other day, these lovely yellow tulips surprised us. I had to stop to examine them. Their faces so open and turned up to the sun, heralding a fine new spring day.
I wondered at them. They could be like the faces of God’s children eagerly turned toward Him awaiting blessings. Waiting contentedly, for their Creator. Sometimes dancing in the breeze for the joy of His Presence.
The flowers look to Him in the early morning when the light is fresh and clean; and in the afternoon when the sun is overhead, full blown in its glory. Again in the evening, when the sun rays slant across the landscape. Anytime, the tulips, as they stand, proclaim the glory of God.
Invitation
Do you feel the longing for freshness in your spirit? A new season. A new start. A new day. Like a deep breath after deliverance from darkness. Let the Sonlight permeate your body, soul, mind. Let His offer to a new adventure grab you. Before anything is written on your soul for the day.
Jesus holds out to us an open invitation to bask in His Presence. His hand is held out to us in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening.
He has battled the darkness for our sakes and won the victory. He invites us to share the joy. It is new every morning. A new day to dance with Jesus in the fresh breeze of His love.
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Colossians 1:13 NKJV).
