Need to Hear
I never considered that as a man, Jesus would need to hear the voice of His Father. After all, Jesus is God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus lives in His Father. Why would He need to hear His Father’s voice?
He knew the same loneliness that we know. Strange concept to us.
How many of us need to hear our Father’s voice?
Dwelling in the Spirit
Jesus is the God-Man. Yet He knew life on earth just as we know it. It must have been a strange thing to Him. He had never experienced the separation from His Father. Not in a body. Where only one person dwells.
Another strange concept to us.
I wonder what it is like to dwell in the Spirit where there is no separation?
When Jesus was baptized, He must have felt the words of His Father fill Him deeply—all the way down to His toes, reverberating in His heart and flooding His soul.
This beautiful love between them.
Still another strange concept to us.
The beginning of the process for our redemption—Father God affirming to His Son this joint venture. Saving humankind from sin for eternity with them. A plan agreed upon within the Godhead before time even began on this earth.
So that we might flow together in Oneness with our Creator forever.
