Giggly Columbines

I always think of columbines in giggly terms. They look like a giggle should look to me. They throw their arms out in every direction in abandon and just thrust themselves out there. The middle looks like one big permanent twitter.

These flowers come in all kinds of colors, and they all look like gigglers. So, I think it must be their general characteristics, the construction of the flower.

Just looking at them makes me smile and gives a lift to my day.

And my Father God made them for my pleasure. And when I enjoy them, I am enjoying Him. And that gives Him pleasure!

Multiplying Difficulties

The last few days I noticed on a social media site just how many people are going through tough times. Life seems to be getting harder and harder. Some difficulties even lean toward tragedies.

Folks need a reason to smile.

Heavenly Encouragement

Father God loves us with an everlasting love. As we honor Him with our lives, He reassures us with some following promises:

Our children will be blessed.

Wealth and riches will be in our homes.

As we show graciousness and compassion, light follows darkness.

Good will come to the generous and honorable.

We will not be shaken, no matter what, when our hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

We will be secure, not fearing anything.

We will triumph over our foes.

Gifts abound to the poor.

Honorable and righteous lives will endure.

The longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

Smiling

I think we have something to smile about.

“Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands” (Psalm 112:1).
