God Is For Us
These days have been so full of confusion. What we’ve always known to be true has been shaken. People run all over the place to either change the scenario or look for something solid to hang onto.
But our God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What’s more—He is FOR us! He has given us all we need to navigate unfamiliar waters.
We focus on Him.We pay attention to His instructions (the Bible, His Word for us).
We actively train to do as He says.
Armor
He does not leave us defenseless. He has given us armor for the fight. It’s found in Ephesians, chapter six. But we need to put it on. Daily.
The Helmet of Salvation (verse 17 – to guard our thoughts)
The Breastplate of Righteousness (verse 14 – Holy Spirit integrity)
The Belt of Truth (verse 17 – everlasting standards given by the One True God)
The Shoes of Good News (verse 15 – peace and goodwill to men from Immanuel)
The Shield of Faith (verse 16 – to stop the fiery darts of the devil directed to our hearts)
Sword of the Spirit (verse 17 – the Word of God which pierces to the dividing of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow)
And we stand firm!
Training
We wrestle against the unseen world. But we fear what we see in the temporal world.
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).
We train by reading His Word, putting on our armor daily, believing what He says is true, no matter what we see around us.
Because what God says is Truth. Forever.
What we see around us is temporal. It will end at some point.
“The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord” (Psalm 118:16-17 NKJV).
War
We are not alone. As we engage the enemy, our Jehovah-Nissi (The Lord is my Banner; Standard-Bearer) is with us.
“He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze” (Psalm 18:33-34 NKJV).
He is WITH you!
He is FOR you!
