Abundance
I’ve been enjoying the gorgeous flowers from gardens everywhere. From sweet roses to fragrant mock orange bushes and everything in between. Spring brings a great abundance of beauty and sweet aromas. A feast for our senses.
That is just like our God to provide just what we need after the long winter with its gray and white tones.
Breathe in.
Look around.
Enjoy.
Appreciating Abundance
I think our God is pleased when we enjoy His handiwork. He put such color and variety on the earth to delight us. When we appreciate what He has created, I think He sits up straight and laughs in pleasure.
He is intimately involved in our lives. Even when we don’t know it.
After all, His reminders are everywhere around us.
The Fragrance of the Abundant Life
Still, as beautiful as the flowers are, they last only a season. Or just a week or so. Then they fade away.
Winter will come again. And as I contemplate the beauty around me now, and the inevitable cold season that will make its return, I wonder what regrets I would have at the end of my life.
I have begun to ask myself this question before making choices. I wish I could say that is making a great difference, but unfortunately, not yet as much as I’d like. But more and more I want to live my life with this thought in mind. I want to leave a sweet fragrance behind me when its time to change my earthly residence for my heavenly home.
As you contemplate the abundance of your life—what would you regret at the end? What would you change to leave a sweet fragrance behind?
