Call to Love
By Mary A. Felkins
Tracy is an Emergency Room Nurse. That puts her on front lines. She’s calm in stressful situations. She also comes from a cop family and the worst happened just before a big event in her teen years. Her father, the Chief, was killed in the line of duty. She is determined to live life on her own and never be in a situation to endure any more broken promises.
Tom comes from a Texas rancher family. He has a teenaged son, and his wife abandoned them years ago. Tom moved away from the ranch and now lives in Tracy’s town. Tom is determined not to trust, and instead, rely on what he can do. Tom is a cop. Tom, too, is on the front lines.
Fear of the “what ifs” keeps both imprisoned in their worlds. Both believe in God, but neither trust Him to move their lives forward. But God has a way of working around stubbornness to bring true life to those who call upon His love.
Mary A. Felkins’ debut novel tells a beautiful story about overcoming deep seated anxieties, and how surrendering to God’s Call to Love can calm all fears.
I loved this story and highly recommend this novel.
