Friendships In General
I believe God instituted friendships. I suppose most of us believe that. But how many of us have friendships that last a lifetime? How about eternity?
Most friendships last a few years or as long as the shared interest is still relevant. Then we go our separate ways and form new friendships around our evolving lifestyles.

How rare when friendships really do outlast what originally formed them.

Rare Friendships
I had the rare privilege of attending a picnic with friends from Partners International that I had not seen in a long time. Some of these friends I met for the first time, but I have known them for a very long time. These are the “Old Timers” of Partners International. We’ve all been part of the Staff working for this wonderful ministry (https://www.partnersintl.org/). Some for a very long time. We have done our best to stay connected, even when our life paths have diverged from Partners International.
We missed other friends that we were not able to connect with, but hope they can come the next time we get together. As we surely will!

Calling PI Old Timers
If you are a Partners International Old Timer and missed the picnic this year, we plan to do this again next year. If you have any comments, please contact me and I will surely pass on what you’re thinking.
If we missed you (I am so sorry if so!) please, please, please contact me (lindajoreed@gmail.com) so we can add your contact info to our list and get an invitation out to you next year. I know some of you are out there. Even if you are in Colorado, the Carolinas, Georgia, or California or somewhere else around the world. We missed you at the picnic this year—but we don’t want to miss you next time!
