The Path
I often look at the photo that tops my blog site. This path winds through trees. Just out of sight where it looks like the path turns to the left, the sun rays diffuse into a yellow/white screen where the trees can be faintly seen behind. Further on ahead the path continues.
As I stare at this picture, words of Jesus swirl in my head. He spoke to his disciples about leaving them and what lay ahead. He said He had many things to tell them, but they could not bear them now.
It’s still true. He has many things to speak to us now, but we can’t bear them. How many times I want to know answers to things, and when they come, I am so glad I didn’t know when I actually asked. He has many things to speak to our hearts, but we don’t know how to listen. We don’t know what to do with His words.
His Words
The impression of His words floated deep into my soul, You see, Child, I still walk close to you. Last week, I begged you to come away with Me. You see that I have straightened the path and lit the way. I’ve given a glorious way. Listen to My words of love. You know that no one comes to My Father except through Me. How eagerly I long to bring you, My Bride, to My Father. He already approves. Come, let’s walk together.
Child of God, He longs for you and me to walk with Him. He’s prepared the road. He is the Light by our side. He longs to speak words of love to us. He wants to take us to His Father. Can we hear Him? Can we believe in His love?
Walking the Path With Him
The path is before us. He is the Light by our side. Let us allow Him take our hands and go where He leads.
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” John 16:12.

Linda Jo, as ever you capture my attention, so “prone to wander” and recenter it on what counts. Thank you for faithfully encouraging us through your life and your writing. I’m especially grateful today to hear your words, His words, echoing within.
