In the fullness of time, He sent His Son…
Calling or Foolishness?
A few thoughts have been swirling in my head about John Chau. He is the missionary who set out on his own to take the Gospel to the natives on North Sentinel Island by India. These people are among the last of the unreached people groups.
The prevailing attitude seems to be that he was foolish to go. Yet, doesn’t the Scripture say that the things of God are foolishness to man? What if God really called him to go? He prepared himself to go—for life or death. He had a plan and did it. What if God really did call him to go and his death served God’s purpose?
We know who the Sentinels are now. And that they are unreached.
Christmas and More
It’s Christmas—the time of year that we celebrate the coming of Jesus to earth to save us from our sins and restore us to fellowship with God.
He came for all of us. Not a select few. Not leaving anyone out. Some may choose not to accept this gift, but He came for everyone.
Before He went back to Heaven, He gave us a Great Commission. One that missions experts are telling us is very close to completed.
What if John Chau had not gone?
Coming Soon
Are we preparing for Jesus to return? Are we willing to seek His Will, follow His Call on our lives and walk it out—even if we are deemed foolish in the eyes of those around us?
Jesus is coming soon. Maybe even as soon as the Sentinels are reached!
Christmas will soon be fully completed. Will He find us faithful?
Prepare! Make way for the King of Glory to come in!
“Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! And lift them up, you everlasting doors! And the King of Glory shall come in” Psalm 24:8,9 NKJV.
